real property records such as deeds, mortgages,
releases, covenants, and others are placed on permanent
record. This
office also records notary bonds as well as military
discharge papers upon request. All records except military discharge papers are open to the public.
NEW! The handwritten tract indexes prior to 1985 are now available here. These indexes are simply scanned images of the large index books; once you have located the book and page of the document for the index entry you need, you will still need to visit the office to obtain a copy of the actual document.
Inactive permanent records are archived off site at the County Record Center
