Laramie County offers a PAPER OR PLASTIC option for voting.
Each polling place will be equipped with both the optical scan ballots (PAPER) used since 1994 and electronic touchscreens (PLASTIC). The touchscreens were mandated by the federal government to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, however, anyone can use them. Of course, voters will be allowed to vote on only ONE of these types of voting machines.

By statute, elections can occur in Laramie County on three principal dates each year. These include the months of May, August, and November.
During even numbered years, both an August
Primary Election and a November General Election are held. These are considered "Federal" election
dates as candidates for United States Representative appear on these ballots.
Odd numbered year elections are generally held at the request of the Board of Commissioners by resolution.
